President of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Loktantrik) Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar said on Thursday that the much-hyped election boycott slogan of CPN-Maoist and its chairman Mohan Baidya will have no impact on the upcoming Constituent Assembly elections.

“Mr Baidya’s party is behaving like a scarecrow. It’s not going to affect the election,” Gachchhadar said speaking at a press meet in Nawalparasi. “The November 19 election is a reality. It will happen at any cost,” he said.

Gachchhadar further challenged CPN-Maoist to make public the names of 33 parties, which have reportedly formed an alliance with the CPN-Maoist.

“I have, for several times, asked Mr Baidya to provide the names of 33 parties. But he has not been able to meet our request,” Gachchhadar added.
